Slow Cooker Braised Short Ribs

Slow Cooker braised short ribs are favorite among meat lovers because of this one property. The soft and tender ribs leaving the bones in one go makes everyone go crazy for them.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs bone-in beef short ribs or boneless ribs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic (powder)
  • 1 tsp onion (powder)
  • 1 spring rosemary (fresh)

Instructions

  • Put the ribs into a bowl and season them with salt and pepper
  • Take a large skillet and place it on high heat
  • Sear the ribs in the skillet on each side for about 60 seconds
  • Once these are brown on each side, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
  • Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and onion powder into the Slow Cooker
  • Mix it well before adding ribs to the Cooker
  • Add rosemary spring on the top and cover with the lid
  • Set Cooker on low settings and cook it for about 6 to 8 hours
  • Once the meat is tender, turn off the Cooker and serve.

Notes

  • Get the best cut short ribs and clean them well.
  • You can even use boneless rib strips for the recipe, but having bones will make the stew or broth more intense.
  • Add a side of your choice, from mashed potatoes to stir-fried vegetables and other classic combinations.
