How To Make Grilled Pound Cake?

1: Prepare the cake batter

  • Sift the dry ingredients like sea salt, flour, baking powder, and baking soda into another bowl. 
  • Beat all these wet and dry ingredients until smooth and silky. It may take 2 minutes. 
  • Add lemon juice and lemon zest and mix them well in the batter.

For The Grilled Plums

  • 4 plums quartered
  • 1 tablespoon raw sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

For The Grilled Lemon Pound Cake

  • ½ cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 lemon zested

How to Make?

  • Beat the sugar with butter in the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment until it becomes light and fluffy.
  • Break the eggs and add one by one to the butter, then continue beating until it is smooth.
  • Add vanilla and yogurt gradually and beat.
  • Now, you must sift the dry ingredients, such as baking soda, baking powder, flour, and sea salt.
  • Add them to the butter and egg mixture and stir until well integrated.
  • Mix the zest of lemon and lemon juice into the cake mix.
  • Place it in the cake tin and let it bake. It can take anywhere from 45 to 50 minutes to cook.
  • Cut the cake into slices and cook it on both sides for about 30 seconds.
  • Cut the plumes in half and mix them with sugar and butter.
  • Place it on the grill, keeping the meat side up.
