Ingredient Notes and Variations

Graham cracker crumbs: It is essential to make the crunchy base. You can use flavored graham crackers or other cookies to add flavor.

Shredded coconut: Without it, the dessert is complete. You can use unsweetened shredded coconut to adjust the sweetness level. Toasted coconut can also add a delightful nuttiness to the treat.

Sugar: Feel free to choose brown sugar, icing sugar, raw sugar, etc. Each will give you a distinctive taste and flavor profile.

Sea salt: It enhances the sweetness level. The saltiness can complement the sweetness of the chocolate and balance the dessert.

Butter: Choose unsalted butter to make the crust. You can use oils for this purpose to make a distinctive taste.

Dark chocolate: Choose high-quality dark chocolate for the filling. Experiment with the different varieties of chocolate for a unique taste.
