Ingredient Notes and Variations

Brown sugar: Brown sugar provides deep molasses-like flavors to the chai tea shortbread. But you can use light brown sugar for a mild taste or blend both sugars to elevate your experience.

Chai tea flavorings: Choose high-quality chai or loose-leaf tea for perfect taste and fusion. Alternatively, you can use chai tea extract or concentrated chai flavorings for intense flavors.

All-purpose flour: It is the base of the shortbread. You can use a wheat flour mixture to make it healthier and more innovative.
