Ingredient Notes and Variations

All-purpose flour: It is the base of the pie crust as it perfectly balances structure and flakiness. You can experiment with whole wheat or other flour for a unique twist.

Unsalted butter: Add unsalted and cold butter for rich buttery flavors. The buttery layers will give the pie an irresistible texture. You can use simple oil or sweet butter for this purpose.

Vanilla and cinnamon: Vanilla extract gives the pie the next taste level. You can use almond extract or others for innovation. Cinnamon adds warmth and aroma to the sweetness that makes it irresistible. As an alternative, you can use nutmeg or cardamon.

Blueberries: It is the star of the recipe. The vibrant colors and juicy texture will fill your mouth with flavors. You can use frozen or fresh barriers according to availability.

Raw sugar: It adds sweetness and perfectly balances the tangy notes of blueberries. Add a caramelized texture and golden hue to the filling. You can use natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup instead.
