Shirazi Salad (Authentic Persian Style)

Serve your chicken kabobs or Turkish meatballs along with this tangy Shirazi salad! Onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers are all that you need for this tantalizing side.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium-sized tomatoes
  • 3 medium-sized cucumbers
  • 1 small red onion
  • 2 Juice of 2 lemons
  • cup sour Grape juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
  • Salt up to taste
  • Black pepper or chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Chop the tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions into small fine cubes. Add to a large mixing bowl.
  • Pour in the lemon juice, sour grape juice, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add olive oil and stir until all the ingredients are coated well.
  • Add black pepper or red chili flakes if desired.
  • Refrigerate the salad for 30 minutes before serving.
