Ingredients

For The Tart Dough

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • ¼ cup turbinado sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold & cubed
  • 1 egg whisked
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

For The Filling

  • ½ cup dulche de leche
  • 5 pears thinly sliced into half-moons
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ cup turbinado sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Mix sugar and flour in a bowl.
  • Add butter and mix with your hands to get a crumbly texture.
  • In another bowl, whisk vanilla and eggs.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients to make a dough.
  • Wrap the dough in the cling film and rest for 60 minutes.
  • Roll the dough and make a disk-like shape with ¼ inch thickness.
  • Trasfer in the tart pan.
  • Prepare the filling, but don’t forget to preheat the oven and keep the temperature to 350 degrees.
  • Spread dulce de leche on the tart crust.
  • Place the pears in a circular pattern, starting from the edges and finishing at the center.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar.
  • Bake at 350℉ for 20 to 25 minutes or until the pears cook evenly.
  • Let it cool before serving.
