Mushroom Kale Pizza

Do you like pizza? We have a variation for you. Try mushroom kale pizza. It is one of the best pizzas that combines earthy mushrooms and vibrant kale with innovative toppings.

Ingredients

For The Dough

  • 1 ¼ cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 ½ tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting

For The Pizza

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 3 kale leaves roughly chopped & stems removed
  • ½ cup smoked sausage diced (or ham, pancetta, etc)
  • 1 tsp salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 ½ cups grated Swiss or Gouda cheese

Instructions

  • Mix the water, olive oil, salt, honey, and yeast in a stand mixer bowl with a dough hook attachment.
  • Mix them well and let the yeast activate.
  • Add flour and turn on the mixer to knead the dough.
  • Once the mixture comes together like a dough, knead it for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the dough to a dusted surface and knead. Place a ball in the greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth,h and let the dough rise.
  • Once the dough doubles, roll it and make a disk like a pizza base.
  • In a pan, saute the onion until translucent.
  • Add kale, mushrooms, salt, and paper, and cook until kale wilt down.
  • Brush the pizza base with olive oil and sprinkle salt and paper.
  • Pour the kale mushroom topping and spread the cheese evenly.
  • Place it in the oven and let it bake at 350℉ for 20 minutes or until the cheese turns slightly brown.
  • Cut it into slices, and enjoy!
