Ingredients

For The Green Tea Cake

  • 1 ¼ cup raw sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For The White Chocolate Buttercream

  • 1 pound unsalted butter room temperature
  • 3 cups icing sugar or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 50 grams white chocolate melted & cooled

Instructions

  • Switch on the oven and heat it to 325°F until you prepare the cake batter.
  • Use a bowl to mix butter, oil, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Break the eggs, then mix them into the buttery mix.
  • Mix the matcha powder with milk and vanilla.
  • Add dry ingredients such as baking powder, salt, and flour to a separate bowl.
  • Mix dry and wet ingredients until they’re combined.
  • Divide the batter between two cake tins coated with oil and then spray with flour.
  • The cake tins should be placed into the oven and baked. It could take between 20 and 25 minutes for it to be cooked thoroughly.
  • Let the cake cool before removing it from the tin.
  • After the cake has cooled, begin the frosting.
  • Mix the butter, icing sugar, and vanilla extract using the paddle attachment of a blender.
  • The white chocolate should be melted, then slowly add it to the butter mixture until it becomes fluffy.
  • Blend them until they are well incorporated.
  • Spread this frosting on the cake’s surface by the preferred consistency, then sprinkle the matcha powder.
