Ingredients

For The Crust

  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • ½ cup raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • pinch of salt

For The Filling

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 heaping tablespoon lemon zest
  • cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • cup flour

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees before making the bars.
  • Create the dough by mixing the sugar and butter until it becomes smooth.
  • Mix flour in until it resembles dough.
  • Place the dough on the baking tray.
  • Bake for between 15 and 20 minutes until you’ve prepared the filling.
  • Break eggs, then beat them thoroughly with lemon zest, vanilla flour, sugar, and flour to fill.
  • Pour this filling into the baked crust and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Let it cool down before cutting.
