Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 4 oz cream cheese cold and cubed
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional, for sweeter biscuits
  • Additional flour for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and optional sugar.
  • Add cold, cubed butter and cream cheese. Use a pastry cutter or fingers to work them into coarse crumbs.
  • Pour in the milk and stir gently until a soft dough forms.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it a few times to bring it together.
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
  • Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
  • Allow the biscuits to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
