Ingredients

For The Green Tea Caramel Milkshake

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • whipped cream for topping

For The Caramel Sauce

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • cup water
  • cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • It is possible to cook the sugar and water mixture over low heat to make the caramel sauce.
  • Do not stir the mixture; let it simmer until it changes color. It could take as long as 5 minutes.
  • Cook it to the point that sugar changes color to amber.
  • Be careful at this point. It can burn quickly.
  • Mix vanilla, butter, sea salt, and cream when it changes color.
  • Mix milk, matcha powder, caramel, vanilla, and ice cream to make an ice cream milkshake with green tea caramel.
  • Mix all the ingredients until blended and smooth.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce into the glass and pour some matcha powder.
  • Pour the milkshake mix into the glass and top it off with a scoop of whipped cream.
  • Sprinkle some matcha powder over the dish and serve.
