Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 2 teaspoon almond emulsion
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 egg yolk Reserve the white
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup almonds toasted & roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven and keep the temperature at 350°F.
  • Whisk the eggs, butter, almond emulsion, vanilla extract, sugar, and egg yolks.
  • Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in the wet ingredients and make a dough.
  • Transfer the dough to a baking sheet, giving it a wide loaf-like shape.
  • Bake it for 25 minutes or until it achieves a golden hue.
  • Remove the dough loaf from the oven and let it cool.
  • Cut it into slices and bake again for 15 to 20 minutes.
