What I like the most about this recipe is that it is highly adaptable. Wanna make it vegan? Use coconut or almond milk. If allergic to lactose, use more yogurt and milk substitutes, no banana to add, go for an avocado or spinach. The choices are endless and it’s all up to your creativity to make this fruitier, richly flavored, and fun-filled beverage for your kids.

Why would you like this smoothie?

  •  The smoothie takes only 5 minutes to make.
  • You can also make it out of frozen fruit.
  • You can make it Vegan and lactose-free by using whole milk substitutes.
  • It is a high-energy smoothie perfect for the diets of young children of growing age.
  • It has a thick texture and rich flavor.
  • It is the best low-calorie meal and a healthy breakfast option
  • Peach Smoothie is an ideal beverage for outdoor summer parties.

Peach Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 1.2 cup milk of your choice
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen peaches
  • 1 fresh or frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp honey or stevia powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder

Ingredient Notes:

Milk: I prefer to use whole milk in all my smoothie recipes because it makes the smoothie thick and gives a creamy flavor. You can use other substitutes such as almond milk, coconut, or soy milk as per your diet demands.

Greek Yogurt: it just tends to balance all the sweetness from milk, banana, and honey. Yogurt also makes the smoothie thick, especially when you are using fresh fruit.

Peaches: Most recipes will advise you to use frozen peaches because the smoothie becomes thick and slushy, but I always prefer to use fresh fruit. It is when the fruit is richest in taste and makes the smoothie ambrosial.

Banana: Telling all my readers to add it, but personally I do not like a banana in my smoothie. However, I do like the fact that Banana thickens it up and combines with the tang of peach to result in a balanced flavor. Do use a frozen one though.

Honey: Sweeten up your smoothie in a healthy way without adding many calories.

Vanilla essence: Just a pinch, for the flavor!

Cinnamon powder: I use it mainly as a topping, and to add a mildly sweet and spicy touch to my smoothie. Skip if you want to.

Expert tips to make the Best Peach Smoothie:

  • First and foremost, just blend it all up and serve immediately. If you let the smoothie stand for a while, chances are that it might become runny and lose its fresh taste and texture.
  • Although fresh fruit tastes better, if you want the smoothie to be thick and slushy, use frozen peaches and bananas.
  • If you don’t like your smoothie thick, add a bit of peach nectar to dilute it.
  • Add milk to the blender first and then add the fruit on top. It will help prevent making the smoothie chunky.

How to store Peach smoothie?

  • If you have any leftover smoothies, you can keep them in a refrigerator for one day in a bottle or an air-tight container. However, the smoothie may separate. You might need to blend it again just before serving.
  • Smoothies also preserve well in the freezer. Put them in freezer-friendly bottles or containers and freeze them to make them last for 2 months.
  • To thaw it, place the frozen smoothie in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for 2 to three hours.
  • You might need to blend it again to bring out the same thick texture.

Alternative ingredients you may try for variation:

  • Strawberries: Instead of frozen bananas, you can also use frozen strawberries to create a strawberry peach smoothie. It might also make your smoothie pinker.
  • Pineapple: Pineapple adds to the sweetness, and tang and incorporates a tropical flavor. If you do not have pineapple chunks, you can use pineapple nectar.
  • Spinach: If you are into trying healthier options and open to experimenting, try adding baby spinach leaves. Not only it adds to the flavor, but also makes the smoothie calcium rich and more nutritious. Although it might make the smoothie a bit green in color.
  • Protein Powder: If you are an athlete and are incorporating the smoothie into your diet, try adding a bit of your protein powder or whey powder to this smoothie. The vanilla flavor goes best with this smoothie. ½ teaspoon of protein powder will boost the nutritional content of the smoothie.
  • Orange Juice: To give a tangy flavor, use ½ a cup of orange juice without added sugars.
