  • 2 large eggs whisked

  • ½ cup eggnog
  • ¼ cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

For The Eggnog Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven before making the cake batter to 350 degrees.
  • Whisk molasses, eggnog, salt, sugar, oil, vanilla, yogurt, and salt until well combined.
  • Take another bowl and mix the flour, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, salt, baking powder, baking soda and black pepper.
  • Mix the dry and wet mixtures to get a smooth batter.
