You can even take this recipe to your kitchens along with the kids, and they will enjoy doing this little cooking project!
Ingredients For Air Fryer Zucchini Chips
- Zucchini
- Vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper
- Preferred herbs or seasonings
Ingredient Notes
Zucchini: Zucchini is the best vegetable to make these delicious crisps, because of its mild flavor and firm texture. You can always try the same recipe using eggplants, squash, or sweet potato as well.
Oil: use a bit of oil to infuse flavor and achieve the brown texture of crisps. You can use any vegetable oil like sesame, olive, or avocado oil.
Salt and Pepper: drizzle salt and pepper as per your preference.
Preferred herbs: If you want to make a spicier version of crisps, try using cayenne pepper. Smoked paprika gives a unique barbecue flavor to the zucchini chips. Garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme make the chips more tasty and aromatic.
How to make Air fryer Zucchini chips?
Wash and peel the zucchini.
With the help of a sharp chef’s knife or a slicer, slice the zucchini into thin slices.
Drizzle some oil over the zucchini chips and mix so that it coats them well.
Mix salt, pepper, and any other herbs or spices you prefer. Drizzle this spice mix over the zucchini chips. Toss them well so that all the chips are thoroughly coated.
Set the air fryer to preheat at 250°F.
Arrange the zucchini chips in a single layer in the lined air fryer basket. Ensure that the basket is not overcrowded, or else the chips will not get crisp and golden.
Air fry the chips for at least 12 minutes. After that, toss the chips and again cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
When the chips are golden and crisp, remove them from the air fryer. Allow them to cool down slightly.
Serve as toppings to pizza, and salads, or as fillings in sandwiches. Zucchini chips taste great with marinara sauce or ranch dressing.
