So yes! You might call it a classic recipe, but since air fryers are trending and doin’-the-job, why not make these crisp, crunchy, and mouth-watering bites in an air fryer?

Ingredients For Air Fryer cauliflower bites

You will need

  • Cauliflower
  • Soy sauce
  • Eggs
  • Bread crumbs
  • Herbs and spices
  • Salt and pepper

Ingredient Notes and Variations

Cauliflower: use the fresh and white cauliflower and cut it into florets. To make this classic recipe a more unique one, try switching the cauliflower with broccoli. It is a great way to feed your kids the greens.

Soy sauce: soy sauce lends a nice bold flavor to this delicious appetizer. You can use dark soy sauce, or use Worcestershire sauce for a different flavor note.

Eggs: eggs make the cauliflower florets crisp and golden. If you want to make a vegan version, try using the cornflour slurry. This also makes the cauliflower florets crisp.

Breadcrumbs: breadcrumbs make the crisp golden exterior of these bites. Use gluten-free bread crumbs if you are allergic to gluten.

Herbs and spices: when it comes to the flavors, you can choose any herbs and spices to flavor up these bites. I mostly use garlic powder, onion powder, paprika powder, turmeric, and ginger powder. Feel free to add Italian herbs for a different flavor profile.

Salt and pepper: Use salt and pepper as per your choice.

Line the basket of the air fryer with parchment paper.

Place the coated cauliflower bites in the basket but be careful not to overload the basket. Make sure that the bites are not overlapping each other.

Allow them to air fry for at least 18 minutes. This will make them nicely crisp and golden.

After half the cooking time, check and flip the cauliflower bites so that they are evenly cooked from both sides.

When they are cooked, remove from the air fryer basket and serve on the serving platter.
