Ingredient Notes
Oat flour
Oats make the best flour for cookie dough with its great taste. But if somehow you cannot find it, get some almond flour. It may give a nutty flavor, but has the same great crumbly texture.
Honey
The gooey, sweet golden liquid incorporates the natural sweetness in the cookies plus it holds the flour together. But you can replace it with maple syrup or agave if you don’t like the flavor.
Flavors
Now here is the interesting part. In the basic cookie dough, you can add anything. Be it some dark chocolate, dried fruits, nuts, frozen berries, or some chunky candies, the cookie dough will hold any ingredient and make delicious cookies.
How to make the no-bake cookies?
Let’s set the base…
The most important part of these no-bake cookies is the cookie dough. It needs to be soft, smooth easily malleable, and well-textured to hold the flavoring ingredients. Take the best quantity of oat flour, or almond flour for this purpose. Check out these almond flour cookies for a complete keto diet option.
Mix in the warm nut butter. I always use peanut butter in this recipe, but if you have an alternative nut butter as a favorite, go for it. Add honey. If you don’t like honey, you can always replace it with some maple syrup.
Mix well. Try not to make the dough too dry or too runny. If you see dry flour or crumbs, add any of the liquid ingredients. Mix well until a smooth dough is formed.
Bring in your creativity
Now is the time to add anything, absolutely anything you like in your dessert to this cookie dough. Use a quarter cup measure and scoop out some cookie dough. Make a hollow center.
The gooey goodness of Nutella
Take 1 tbsp Nutella spread and mix it with roasted and chopped hazelnuts. Place this mixture in the hollow center of the cookie dough. Make a ball out of the dough and flatten it between your palms.
Fun Fruity Flavors
You can also add fruity flavor to your no-bake cookies. Use any of your favorite crushed and dried fruits such as Raspberries or strawberries. Mix some white chocolate chips or dark ones as per your liking. Fill ’em up in the cookie dough and refrigerate before serving.
For the love of candy….
Who I mean who on earth can not like M and M’s? So just imagine filling these candies in the gooey cookie dough. Add some chocolate chips to enhance the flavor.
Some more dried fruits…
I mean raisins. My absolute favorite. Take a handful of them and add a pinch of cinnamon powder. You know the rest. Add this magical mixture to the cookie dough and you are good to go.
More peanut butter
Grab some dark chocolate chips and add to 1 tbsp. of peanut butter. Mix well until it is ready to go inside the cookie dough.
If you want to store them, place them in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator to keep them safe for 7 days.
