Ingredients Required For Scrambled Eggs

  • Large eggs
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Butter

Ingredient Notes and Variations

Eggs: scrambled eggs are best when you make them with yolks and whites. But if you want to cut down the calories, you can use egg whites only. Chicken eggs are best, but try making scrambled eggs with quail or duck eggs for a slightly different flavor.

Butter: Butter makes the scrambled eggs more creamy and gives them a soft texture. If you have to cut the calories, opt for olive oil or sesame oil. Always use butter after bringing it to room temperature.

Salt and Black pepper: Use salt and black pepper as per your taste preference. I often add chili flakes or chopped green chilies to my scrambled eggs, because I like them spicier.

Options ingredients: Scrambled eggs is an open-ended meal. You can add any ingredient you like. Sometimes I add cooked minced chicken to the eggs to incorporate more protein in the breakfast.

Cheese: To be honest, my scrambled eggs are incomplete without some shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese. Do give it a shot for a creamier taste.

Vegetables: You can also try adding chopped green onions, tomatoes, or boiled corn for a more crunchy texture.

Herbs: Herbs like chopped fresh parsley or cilantro adds a dash of freshness to the breakfast.
